The air gun section opened in January 2018 and surprised us with the response, membership took off. After a period of development and direction from the welsh airgun association [http://www.welsh-airgun.org.uk/] the consensus of the way forward was with the Olympic style of airgun shooting.

We have in house competitions every 3 months. Members entered the summer Dorset league, and now getting ready for the winter Dorset league, and the small bore rifle association [http://www.nsra.co.uk/]

Thanks to a grant, the club was able to buy 2 rifles and 2 pistols, along with other equipment, which can be used by members who don’t have their own, so they can take part in shooting opportunities that the club has to offer.

The Blind Veterans come to shoot every Tuesday afternoon, we have acoustics to assist them, and regular club members who assist them in their shooting. We can accommodate the disabled with wheelchair access. Assistance and training is given by our trained range officers, to a very high standard.

We shoot at distances of 10 and 20 metres under the instructions of a range officer. Ammunition and targets can be bought at the club.

Our ages are from age 10 to 100. and yes we do have a 98 year old lady. Our youngest is 16 and just done her first away shoot in Derby. All juniors must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
